When We started:

Rhythmic Kids™ Australia started as a small home business in March 2005 after it became impossible to purchase quality musical instruments for our first child, Molly.  After much exploring and research, we have managed to locate quality instruments to encourage children’s minds with a view to motivation.

Why We started:

After 12 years in the corporate world and becoming first-time parents in May 2004, with the birth of our daughter, Molly, I needed a part-time business which enabled me to have the flexibility of working from home. 

A firm believer that “Music Makes Happiness”, I am inspired and passionate by what musical instruments do for adults, let alone children!   I have loved music all my life; I am fascinated by the rhythm in instruments.  Rhythmic Kids™ Australia was formed purely out of a love of music and watching how even simple musical rhythms and beats can make children happy and enthusiastic.

The Rhythmic Kids™ Australia vision is to promote the use of music to educate, stimulate and motivate children throughout Australia.

Rhythmic Kids™ Australia has dreams to grow as a company that has exposure via profitable fundraising for childcare centres and playgroups and retail outlets throughout the country. 

It will be known as the company that puts smiles on the faces of children everywhere hence “Music Makes Happiness!”

Rhythmic Kids™ Australia is proud to only promote products that are of a quality that we have tried and tested AND carefully select for our own children.  In choosing any new products for the Rhythmic Kids™ range, we factor in the following considerations:

• How well is the item made?  Is the item safe for children?
• Is it going to be fun to play with?
• Does it make a pleasant (the appropriate –possibly accurate??) rhythmic sound?
• Is it attractive and fun to look at?
• Is it going to offer value for money?
• AND lastly; did it pass the Molly Moocha (our 3 year old) AND the Charlie Chubba Bubba (7 month old) durability test?
• If the new product passes these checks, then it has a real chance of making it to the product range.

Existing Rhythmic Kids™ products include a large range of great sounding wooden instruments; great instrument value packs, instruments for serious beginners, and fun musical toys that kids will often have to stop their parents playing with.

Use of products

The Rhythmic Kids™ is formulated by "Active Kids are Healthier Kids".  Our instruments are 100% FAT FREE and give kids the best start both physically and mentally, continuously striving to improve motor coordination and cognitive skill from as early as 4 weeks. 

Whether it is the internet, your local health nurse or any universal study, they all will tell you that introducing musical instruments to children as young as newborn is one of the first stages of effective early development.   Musical instruments will assist them to understand melodic direction, tempo and rhythmic patterns along with motor, hand coordination and concentration skills.

Most importantly making music should be FUN!
